What is a CPU Benchmark?
A CPU Benchmark is a processor performance test that runs directly in your browser. It measures CPU speed across 11 different tasks: physics, cryptography, image convolution, video encoding, and more. The result lets you compare your processor with thousands of other devices.
How is the overall rating calculated?
The overall rating is calculated as the geometric mean of all 11 tests in both single-thread and multi-thread modes. Each test runs 3 times, and the median value is used. Results are normalized and weighted across categories: overall performance, gaming, server workloads, and media/3D.
Is it safe to run the test?
Yes, the test is completely safe. It runs in an isolated WebAssembly environment (or JavaScript workers for the JSON test) and has no access to your data. The test does not install any software or make any changes to your system.
